To Tomato Spring (July 26).

Gaspar de Portolá
The 19th, we proceeded for five hours making the same distance as in two marches on the outward journey. On this day there was much rain.

Miguel Costansó
From the Río de los Temblores we went to the Aguage del Padre Gómez. The whole way is over level country. This place has little firewood. The day's march was four leagues.

Fray Juan Crespi
We set out from this river in the morning, made four leagues, halted at the springs of San Pantaleon, or Father Gomez, having traveled by the same road as that over which we
came.
